Service Description
Drop in for our weekly Mindfulness Workshop where group members learn and practice ways to achieve calm, peace and equanimity through simple, practical, and interactive activities. Mindfulness is the awareness that emerges through paying attention to what is happening in the moment, without getting caught up in thoughts about the past, worries about the future, and without judgment. Mindfulness encourages awareness of body sensations, emotions and thoughts, which helps a person to pause and respond rather than react in difficult life situations. Research shows that the practice of meditation and mindfulness has been proven to help with: * Anxiety and Depression * Trauma Related Issues * ADHD * Managing Relationships * Chronic Pain Please know that you are not required to share personal experiencing.
